The Story Behind the Sign

Salon Da'Paw is a one-woman salon. Karla built a proper grooming room in the basement of her Grantsville home, and every dog and cat who visits is groomed by her, one at a time, from start to finish.

That setup means no line of crates and no hand-offs between staff. Nervous pets, blind pups and dogs who have struggled at other groomers get a quiet room and a familiar face.

Care and compassion will always be my first priority when it comes to any animal in my care. Humanity before vanity.

Karla Lee · Owner and groomer
  • The same groomer, every time

In Karla's words: “There is only one groomer, so same person every time for your pet to feel safe and loved by.”

  • Patience first

Her promise to every owner: “Patient and kind with even the pets that struggle with the grooming process.”

  • A real salon, at home

A dedicated grooming room with a stainless tub and grooming table, built in the basement of her house.

Muddy paws in, clean paws out

Why the Paw Prints Are Muddy

Look closely at the sign out front and you'll see a trail of muddy paw prints climbing up the board. It sums up Karla's idea for the salon: pets come in with muddy paws, and they go home with clean ones.

The tagline on that sign, “Because I love your pet too,” is the short version of everything she does. The longer version is the note on her Google profile about care and compassion coming first.
